Securing green infrastructure for compensation in spatial planning

Development of recommendations for action to secure green infrastructure (GI) with nationwide relevance for compensation in spatial planning: The project involves the further development of the Federal Green Infrastructure Concept (BKGI) within the framework of the R&D project "Update of the Federal Green Infrastructure Concept" (FKZ 3523811600). The recommendations are to demonstrate how GI areas and specialist concepts can be identified, concretized, and secured through spatial planning. This includes the planning integration of these areas at planning and implementation levels, as well as an evaluation of previous provisions in regional plans. The product is aimed at spatial planning authorities in the federal states, regions, and municipalities and should present successful practical examples.
