Test Kits for Amino Acids in Plasma and Urine: Procurement of test kits for the analysis of amino acids in plasma and urine using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) based technology. The kits must contain all assay-dependent products such as reagents, calibrators, manufacturer’s control samples, method parameters for LC-MS/MS instrumentation, and product support. The solution must cover both plasma and urine testing. Existing instrumentation includes LC from Shimadzu (Nexera 30 or 40) and MS/MS instruments from AB Sciex (5500+ Triple Quadrupole or Citrine) with Analyst MD 1.6.3. Hotfix 4 or SCIEX OS software. The kits are intended for the detection and quantitative analysis of amino acids for the diagnosis and monitoring of inborn errors of metabolism. Approximately 1,000 plasma and 200 urine patient samples are tested yearly, in about 2-3 batches per week with 5-10 samples per batch. Samples must be preparable in vials. The contract period is 48 months. The estimated value is based on the stated annual sample numbers, which are not binding.
