MEP Planning for Operating Room Extension Building (EOP)
Planning services for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) for the new operating room extension building (EOP) at Universitätsklinikum Aachen. The new building includes 12 highly complex operating rooms, a central medical product reprocessing unit (AEMP), and an automated sterile goods and material storage. The operating rooms are designed for equipment-supported surgical methods, including hybrid OPs with angiography systems, mobile and stationary intraoperative imaging, and robotic surgical techniques. The building will be constructed between the main building (UBFT/PF) and the supply building (VER), with connections to existing buildings at level -2 and a bridge connection to the OIP-PNZ at level 1. Construction of the extension building is scheduled to begin in October 2028, with handover in mid-2032. Detailed services are specified in the bill of quantities of the tender documents.
