Civil engineering services for cable and pipeline construction projects, including surface excavation, surface restoration, and pipeline laying work for the sectors electricity (low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage), heating, gas (low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure), and drinking water. Approximately 90 km of civil engineering services are required annually in Frankfurt. Additional civil engineering services for the expansion of the electricity grid (110-kV cables), renewal of the electricity grid (0.4 – 30-kV cables), expansion of the heating network, and renewal of drinking water networks have been identified with a cumulative value of several hundred million Euros for the next eight years. This also includes construction measures for the renewal or new construction of substations. A potential additional demand for civil engineering services of up to EUR 1.0 billion for the next eight years is anticipated.
