Structural Engineering for Extension with Triple Sports Hall and Building Demolition, Josef-Hofmiller-Gymnasium Freising

Structural engineering planning phases 1-6 and the optional engineering control of planning phase 8 according to HOAI 2021 for the new construction of an extension with an integrated triple sports hall and science classrooms for the Josef-Hofmiller-Gymnasium in Freising. The contract includes the demolition of the existing swimming and sports hall, building section “Bauteil B, West” (built 1959), the multi-purpose hall with swimming pool and the double sports hall (built 1972), as well as the caretaker's house with 4 residential units and garages. Also included are the reorganization and qualification of outdoor facilities and sports areas, as well as the planning of the excavation pit shoring according to § 41 HOAI 2021 engineering structures as a separate object, and demolition statics. The planning is based on variant D of a feasibility study and considers a terraced, 3- to 4-story building on a slope with an integrated sports hall from ground level, large spans over 25m, and the necessity of special civil engineering. Estimated construction costs (cost groups 200-600) are approximately 23 million Euro gross. The commissioning will be phased according to § 51 HOAI, starting with planning phases 1 and 2. Planning is expected to begin in October 2026, construction in Q3 2028, and commissioning in Q1 2030. Demolition and new construction will take place during ongoing school operations.
