Transport, sorting, and recycling of plastic waste: The waste originates from residual household waste in Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, and Tårnby Municipalities, sorted at Amager Ressourcecenter (ARC) sorting plant. The sorting plant is expected to be commissioned in Q4 2026 and reach full operation within six months. Four waste types will be sorted there: food and beverage cartons, plastic, paper/cardboard, and metal.
