Reconstruction, Expansion, and Equipping of Psychiatric Clinics at Medical University of Łódź (Design-and-Build)

Design and build for the reconstruction, expansion, and equipping of the Psychiatric Clinics in the existing B1 building of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Łódź, ul. Czechosłowacka 8/10. Task 1 includes the design and construction of a new single-story, basement building for a new Admissions Room, a Mental Health Center, and a Day Ward. The Admissions Room must meet current regulations, include more medical offices, and isolation rooms with full monitoring. The new building will be functionally connected to the existing B1 building via a connector at the first-floor level to optimize transport and patient pathways. After the connector is built, hospital wards of the Psychiatric Clinic will be separated to avoid passing through one ward to reach another. The investment also includes compliance with fire safety regulations regarding fire routes and fire zone separation, especially for horizontal and vertical evacuation routes in the expansion and renovated building. Task 2 involves the renovation of designated parts of the ground floor of the existing B1 building, including areas currently occupied by the Admissions Room and the Nuclear Medicine Department, with the latter being moved to another building to increase operational safety. The detailed scope of the ground floor area is shown in the architectural concept of the Functional-Utility Program (PFU). The contract covers the creation of the construction design, obtaining the building permit, creating a multi-discipline executive design, performing construction works, obtaining the occupancy permit, and commissioning the new hospital areas according to the PFU. Work will be carried out on the premises of an operating psychiatric hospital, requiring careful site demarcation and security, coordinated transport routes, and minimal disruption to hospital operations; further items as per the tender documents.
