Redesign of City Entrance West in Bingen
Traffic planning and urban redevelopment of City Entrance West in Bingen before the 2029 Federal Garden Show: Demolition of a pedestrian underpass, construction of a roundabout (KVP), relocation of "Fruchtmarkt" street including open spaces between Nahebrücke and the railway crossing with redesign and visual enhancement. This includes the fundamental renewal of Gerbhausstraße between Freidhof and Fruchtmarkt, and Amtsstraße between Fruchtmarkt and Badergasse, the redesign of Gerbhausparkplatz, Laternenplatz, and Freidhof, as well as the redesign of the Fruchtmarkt/Salzstraße railway crossing including parts of Museumsstraße. Furthermore, the contract covers the barrier-free conversion of ramps on both sides of the railway underpass as an extension of Gerbhausstraße, and the renewal of the drainage canal and water pipe in Gerbhausstraße using an open trench method.
