Environmental Technical Consulting Services for Contaminated Sites and Land Use Projects

Environmental technical consulting services: Investigations related to contaminated soil, sediments, or groundwater, handling of permit processes, and supervision of remediation work for various land use projects. Tasks include project preparation, planning, coordination, decision-making preparation, presentation, and reporting. The procurement is structured as a framework agreement, divided into two areas, with four service providers to be selected per area, provided at least four suitable bids are received. The duration is two years, with a two-year option period. Contracting authorities are the City of Tampere and Tampereen Vesi Oy. Services include, among others, conducting studies to assess contamination, risk assessments, selection of cleaning methods, preparation of environmental permits, planning and supervision of soil remediation work, preparation of reports on soil purity for property transfers, ensuring compliance with environmental protection legislation, waste regulations, and environmental administration guidelines, organizing sampling and investigations using standardized or equally reliable methods, investigating the utilization of circular economy materials in earthworks, other case-by-case agreed investigation tasks and parallel analyses, and comparing and assessing the suitability of in-situ techniques for contaminated soil remediation. Additionally, tasks related to landfill structures and the remediation of contaminated areas and landfills are included, such as the design of landfill structures for old landfills, environmental protection structures for other contaminated sites, independent quality control during the construction of landfill structures, construction management for remediation projects, and the preparation of contract documents for remediation work. The list is not exhaustive and may include minor expert tasks from other fields.
