Renovation of Balance Structure, Eastern Noordkasteelbrug

Renovation of the balance structure of the Eastern Noordkasteelbrug: Renovation of the balance arm including wind bracing; renovation of the connections between balance and box, and possible renovation of the box with filling; renovation of tie rods; revision and limited repairs (including shock absorbers) to rack beams; precise measurement of A, B, C, and D hinges; detailed weighing of the leaf to verify design principles; replacement of the main pivot points of the East bridge (A+B+C+D bearings) according to the current configuration; optimization of all bearings of the East bridge; repair of A-hinge anchorages; provision of secondary steel (railings, ladders, platforms) as specified; and all necessary dismantling and assembly works. Existing leaves, chair, rack beams, drive, and electrical installations must be maintained. Additionally, limited adaptation works to secondary steel (railings, ladders, platforms) are to be carried out on the West bridge. Optionally, the contractor may be appointed for urgent repairs to the West bridge in case of malfunctions during the works on the East bridge.
