Deepening of Outer Harbor Quay Berth and Explosive Ordnance Disposal

Deepening of the berth in the outer harbor quay in the area of bollards 15 to 30: The existing berth, covering an area of 400 m x 50 m, will be deepened by approximately 1 m from -8.12 m SKN (LAT) to a water depth of – 9.20 m SKN (LAT). The excavated material will be deposited in NPorts' own flushing field or the WSA's dredged material treatment plant in Wybelsumer Polder. Including explosive ordnance disposal: A pre-survey for locating potential unexploded bombs from 50 kg caliber upwards has been conducted. In an approximately 6 m wide strip in front of the sheet pile wall, manual inspection by divers is required due to disturbances. In the remaining area, 44 suspected points need to be cleared. The procedure is a negotiated procedure with prior call for competition. Alternative offers are not permitted. The sole award criterion is price. The person designated for construction management and the person responsible according to § 19 SprengstoffG must be named.
