VMware software licenses for the server virtualization system on Fintraffic Tie Oy's roadside technology capacity platform: The licenses are used in an environment managed by the contracting authority in its own data centers. Approximately 95% of servers are virtualized using VMware technology. The current VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) licensing expires in February 2026. Conditions include self-management of the VMware environment in own data centers, the ability to open support requests directly with Broadcom, and access to Broadcom's technical online courses and training materials. The core counts for the licenses to be ordered are specified in Appendix 3 (Price Form). The contract period is a fixed term of 3 or 5 years, followed by an indefinite term, with a maximum value of 4,000,000 euros. An additional procurement option includes the right to acquire more licenses mentioned in the license packages and other Broadcom-related licenses at the daily price during the contract period, if needed. There is no commitment to specific quantities; the contracting authority has the right to change the quantities of licenses during the contract period.
