Fully Automated Driverless Transport System for the SmartLogisticNetwork
Fully automated driverless transport system (FTS) for the SmartLogisticNetwork of the University Hospital Bonn (UKB): The system is intended for internal supply and disposal on the Venusberg Campus and will be deployed extensively in an underground logistics tunnel. It is connected via automated transfer points to buildings such as Central Sterilization (Bldg.45), Supply Center (Bldg. 50), Pharmacy (Bldg. 53), Heart Center (Bldg. 25), Ward Block 1 (Bldg. 24), Surgery (Bldg. 23), Operative Center (Bldg. 22), and Buildings 20, 3, and 4. Pharmacy products, medical products, laundry, food, sterile goods, and waste will be transported. The driverless transport vehicles operate as under-riders, lifting transport trolleys and moving on predefined paths, communicating autonomously with door controls and elevators, including on wards and via existing elevator systems. The control center is located in the planned logistics center. Automation stations will be equipped with BACnet interfaces, and campus-wide WLAN coverage in the tunnel is planned. The overall project also includes a logistics tunnel with connection structures and a waste treatment plant, a logistics center with a waste management center, and special conditions such as utility relocations.
