Reconstruction of flood protection embankments for the Motława River in Gdańsk

Design and construction of flood protection embankments for the Motława River in Gdańsk: Reconstruction of the left and right flood protection embankments over a length of approx. 2,541 m on the right bank and approx. 2,702 m on the left bank, totaling approx. 5,243 m of embankments, within a project area of approx. 8.585 ha, to increase flood safety and adapt to hydrotechnical structure class II. The contract includes the preparation of multi-branch design documentation and obtaining all necessary permits. Construction works comprise preparatory and demolition works; basic works on water intakes with 3 temporary working cofferdams, drainage, earthworks, ground reinforcement, construction of a reinforced concrete intake structure, and technological equipment with 600 x 600 mm gate valves; as well as basic works for the reconstruction of flood protection embankments with earthworks, reinforcement of the embankment crest and access roads with prefabricated multi-hole reinforced concrete slabs, slope reinforcements, protection against beaver activity, vertical reinforcement at the mouth of the Radunia River in the form of steel sheet piles of approx. 7.75 m length topped with a reinforced concrete capping beam, and additional works. The execution period is up to 29 months from contract signing, with the design phase (Phase I) lasting up to 20 months (Stage I up to 10.5 months, Stage II up to 16.5 months, Stage III up to 20 months) and the construction phase (Phase II) up to 29 months.
