Reconstruction of flood protection embankments for the Motława River in Gdańsk
Design and construction of flood protection embankments: Development of multi-branch design documentation and execution of construction works for the reconstruction of the left and right flood protection embankment of the Motława River in Gdańsk, from river km 4+850 to 7+510. The length of the embankments is approx. 2,541 m on the right bank and approx. 2,702 m on the left bank, totaling 5,243 m. The project area covers approx. 8.585 ha. The aim is to increase flood safety by adapting the technical parameters of the embankments to hydrotechnical structure class II. The scope of services includes preparatory works, demolition works, earthworks, water intakes (3 temporary working cofferdams, drainage, ground reinforcement, construction of a reinforced concrete intake structure, technological equipment with 600 x 600 mm gate valves), as well as the reconstruction of flood protection embankments (earthworks, reinforcement of the embankment crest and access roads with prefabricated multi-hole reinforced concrete slabs, slope reinforcements, protection against destructive beaver activity, vertical reinforcement at the mouth of the Radunia River using steel sheet piles of approx. 7.75 m length with a reinforced concrete capping beam) and additional works. The contractor must prepare the design documentation and obtain all necessary permits. The execution period is up to 29 months from contract signing, with the design phase (Phase I) lasting up to 20 months (Stage I up to 10.5 months, Stage II up to 16.5 months, Stage III up to 20 months) and the construction phase (Phase II) lasting up to 29 months.
