Winter service for municipal sidewalks, crossings, stairs, and bus stops in Remscheid
Winter service: Prevention and removal of slipperiness on sidewalks, crossings, and stairs according to § 4 of the street cleaning ordinance of the City of Remscheid, and at bus stops. At bus stops, two areas between the sidewalk and the roadway, with a width of approx. 1 m or 1.5 m, must be kept snow-free and safe for traffic, including breaking through snow walls from plows. A safe entry area of 1 m² and an exit area of approx. 1.5 m² must be created, with approx. 5 meters distance between them. Cleared snow must be deposited laterally. Services are to be provided continuously from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays and school vacations, during the period from 01.11.2026 to 30.04.2027.
