The contractor shall provide comprehensive technical, organizational, and advisory services to support the implementation of the project "Mitigation of Human-Wildlife Conflicts in Tanzania" in the Ruvuma landscape. The assignment is intend to strengthen the holistic implementation of Tanzania"s National Human-Wildlife Conflict Management Strategy through coordinated action at national, district, and village levels. The contractor will contribute to improved governance, planning, and operational capacity for human-wildlife conflict management, with a strong emphasis on participatory approaches, gender sensitivity, and sustainability. A core task of the contractor will be to support land-use planning processes at district and village level. This includes facilitating the development of one district framework land-use plan and 15 village land-use plans, as well as the corresponding Community Action Plans. The contractor shall ensure that these planning processes integrate human-wildlife conflict considerations, local development priorities, gender-specific needs, climate-related risks, and relevant land-use aspects such as agriculture, grazing, settlement patterns, wildlife corridors, and protected areas. The contractor will organize and facilitate technical consultations, community meetings, field visits, mapping exercises, and validation workshops, and will support the formal approval and documentation of all planning outputs. The contractor shall provide capacity development and institutional support to key public actors responsible for human-wildlife conflict management. This includes technical advice for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism and subordinate institutions, particularly on coordination mechanisms, strategy implementation, monitoring, and the use of data and spatial information for decision-making, especially on the land use planning aspects. The contractor is expected to contribute to the strengthening of intersectoral cooperation between wildlife authorities, district administrations, and other relevant sectors, and to support the development of more effective and sustainable organizational arrangements. The contractor shall also contribute to the documentation and analysis of activities and results, including inputs for monitoring and reporting. The contractor shall further support community-level resilience and conflict mitigation measures. This involves assisting village communities in the implementation of HWC-related measures identified through land-use and community action planning, including locally adapted preventive measures, livelihood-supporting activities, and measures that enhance the ability of communities to mitigate, and cope with damage and losses caused by wildlife. The contractor shall ensure that these measures are planned and implemented in a participatory and gender-sensitive manner. In addition, the contractor shall strengthen awareness-raising and environmental education activities. This includes the conceptual, organizational and operational support for the revitalization of environmental clubs (Malihai Clubs) in schools and colleges, the development of training materials and curricula, and the piloting of club activities in selected locations. The contractor shall also support the outreach programs of relevant institutions, including the development of communication concepts, training events, and materials for intermediaries such as teachers, farmers and local stakeholders. Throughout the assignment, the contractor shall ensure effective project management, coordination, reporting, and knowledge management. Deliverables shall include reports of workshops and training sessions, minutes of technical meetings, approved planning documents, CAP and LUP documentation, progress reports, and technical contributions to project monitoring. The contractor shall work in close collaboration with GIZ, partner institutions, and local stakeholders, and shall comply with requirements related to safeguarding, data protection, conflict sensitivity, and gender mainstreaming.

10015490-Development of a green corridor project and street design training in Dakar

Prepare a pre-feasibility study for a Green Corridor to improve safe pedestrian access to public transport in Keur Massar and strengthen institutional capacities for climate-resilient, inclusive street design and participatory project development in Dakar. WP1 Baseline study - Review existing data and studies; identify gaps; conduct additional data collection (e.g. traffic counts, user surveys, air quality and environmental measurements). - Analyse urban context and land use; travel demand (quantitative and qualitative); supply quality and capacity for all modes; safety and conflicts; environmental quality; climate stress (heat, flooding); gender and social inclusion; institutional and legal framework; state-of-the-art references (incl. regional examples). - Deliverables: D1.1 Methodological orientation (inception) report; D1.2 Baseline report; D1.3 Slide deck; D1.4 Provision of raw, machine-readable and editable data and media. WP2 Participation process - Map stakeholders (incl. vulnerable groups, women, persons with disabilities, street vendors, informal transport, neighbourhood groups, local and national authorities). - Design and implement an inclusive, gender-responsive participation strategy (incl. at least one virtual measure); facilitate workshops, mediation as needed; document and evaluate results. - Deliverables: D2.1 Stakeholder analysis (report); D2.2 Slides; D2.3 Participation Strategy; D2.4 Facilitation materials/templates (editable); D2.5 Results report with inputs for corridor requirements; D2.6 Reference Toolkit for participatory processes (FR/EN) to enable replication. WP3 Pre-feasibility Study (PFS) Green Corridor - Identify and appraise design/traffic management alternatives; SWOT; recommend preferred alternative in consultation with CETUD and local administrations. - Produce ?15 preliminary and 10 final conceptual designs (street sections/intersections, allocation of road space, speeds, traffic regulation, green infrastructure, lighting/shading, materials, signage; capacity for all modes). - Conduct preliminary Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and cultural/heritage screening; Cost-Benefit Analysis incl. climate benefits; risk assessment (strategic/project risks); outline financing options and sources. - Prepare implementation strategy (phasing, data/engineering needs, roles/responsibilities, maintenance concept, financing structure), communication strategy (public and stakeholder messaging, best practice), investor pitch deck. - Prepare an Action Plan on Secure Bus Stops aligned with metropolitan frameworks (topic may be adjusted). - Deliverables: D3.1 Alternatives & conceptual designs; D3.2 Preliminary Impact Assessment; D3.3 CBA; D3.4 Risk Assessment; D3.5 PFS; D3.6 Pitch deck; D3.7 Implementation Strategy; D3.8 Communication Strategy; D3.9 Action Plan. WP4 Training conceptualisation and implementation - Design and deliver a 120-hour training (?3 seminars x 3 days + self-learning) on: sustainable mobility and street design, public space management and climate resilience, project development from concept to operation; integrate co-creative work on Green Corridor elements. - Train-the-trainer: coach 5 staff (CETUD/local authorities) to replicate training; refine materials after pilot. - Develop replicable materials: presentations, scripts, videos (?240 min), templates (surveys, fieldwork), instructor"s manual, implementation plan and guidance (checklists, certificate templates), evaluation tools; final training report with lessons learned. - Deliverables: D4.1 Training concept; D4.2 Training materials; D4.3 Instructor"s manual; D4.4 Implementation plan & guidance; D4.5 Training report. Governance and cooperation - Work in close coordination with CETUD, MiTTA and a Technical Committee established by CETUD; align with the RTC project context and ongoing bus station redevelopment. - Provide brief monthly status reports (2 pages) in French (activities, outputs in progress, impacts, decisions needed, expert days). - Contribute to knowledge sharing (events, publications) and support evaluation of knowledge management effectiveness. Unterstützung zur Anpassung der Kakao-Lieferkette in Côte d'Ivoire an Nachhaltigkeitsherausforderungen

Technische Unterstützung für das PRO-PLANTEURS-Projekt zur Anpassung der Kakao-Lieferkette in Côte d'Ivoire an wirtschaftliche, regulatorische, ökologische und soziale Nachhaltigkeitsherausforderungen: Aufbau und Management eines Expertenteams, Qualitätssicherung, Finanzverwaltung und Berichterstattung, Beiträge zu BMZ/MINADER-Berichten, Einhaltung von Datenschutzpflichten. Umfasst die Befähigung von Kakaoproduzenten zur Umsetzung guter landwirtschaftlicher Praktiken (GAP) und Agroforstwirtschaft gemäß ARS 1000: Entwicklung von zehn Agroforstmodellen, Sensibilisierung von 6.000 Produzenten (mindestens 30 % Frauen) für Agroforstwirtschaft, Beratung von Farmen zur Erreichung von mindestens 5.000 ARS 1000-konformen Agroforstflächen. Schulung von 6.000 Produzenten (mindestens 30 % Frauen) in GAP über Farmer Field Schools, Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung individueller Kakao-Farmentwicklungspläne (PDCs), Unterstützung bei internen Inspektionen und Korrekturmaßnahmen zur ARS 1000-Konformität von 6.000 Farmen. Stärkung der genossenschaftlichen Dienstleistungserbringung für nachhaltige, wirtschaftlich tragfähige Produktion: Testen harmonisierter Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana-Protokolle zur Früherkennung, Überwachung und Prävention des Kakao-Swollen-Shoot-Virus über Demonstrationsparzellen, Schulung von Personal aus 12 Genossenschaften, CCC-Delegationen und ANADER zu diesen Protokollen, Unterstützung der Mitglieder-Sensibilisierung. Aufbau und Professionalisierung genossenschaftlicher Serviceeinheiten durch Schulung von Teams in landwirtschaftlichen Operationen, Pflanzenschutz- und Düngemittelanwendung, Baumpflanzung für Agroforstwirtschaft und Beseitigung infizierter Bäume; Schulung und Coaching von Managern in Finanzmanagement und Governance. Unterstützung der Digitalisierung genossenschaftlicher Operationen und Begleitung interner Audits und Korrekturmaßnahmen zur ARS 1000-Zertifizierung in 12 Genossenschaften. Verstärkung der nachhaltigen Beschaffung zwischen Genossenschaften und Käufern: Schulung von 12 Genossenschaften zu rechtlichen Aspekten von Käuferverträgen im Zusammenhang mit neuen nachhaltigen Modellen, Beratung und Coaching zur Umsetzung (faire Vergütung, pünktliche Zahlungen, längere Vertragslaufzeiten, Anreize für Umweltdienstleistungen und Agroforstwirtschaft), Konfliktprävention und -lösung. Stärkung des evidenzbasierten Dialogs zwischen Akteuren der Lieferkette: Aufbau einer unabhängigen, projektunabhängigen digitalen PRO PLANTEURS-Plattform in einer ausgewählten Partnerinstitution, organisatorische Unterstützung für das Plattformmanagement, Schulung von Personal, Entwicklung eines strategischen Plans (inkl. visueller Identität und Kommunikationsplan) und eines Aktionsplans für 2028-2030. Durchgängige Berücksichtigung von Geschlechtergleichheit, Umwelt- und Klimaschutz, Konflikt-/Kontextsensibilität und Menschenrechten. Wissensmanagement und Skalierung durch Dokumentation, Beiträge zu Fachaustausch und GIZ-Netzwerken, Verbreitung über digitale Plattform und Dialogveranstaltungen. Die Umsetzung erfolgt unter Einhaltung des definierten Experteneinsatzes, CO2-minimierter Reisen, fester Budgets für Materialien und Workshops sowie Nutzung bereitgestellter Büros und Logistik, mit voller Kostenkontrolle und Einhaltung der GIZ-Regeln.
