Waste Collection and Disposal for Pernik Municipality

Waste collection and disposal: Collection and transport of waste from containers to a treatment facility; collection and transport of bulky waste and construction waste discarded around containers, as well as cleaning of illegal landfills on demand. The exact scope of services and objects for waste collection and transport will be updated annually in the operational plan. Services are to be performed throughout the territory of Pernik Municipality, including districts, industrial zones, villa and settlement areas, resort areas, and other settlements. The boundaries of the collection and cleaning areas are determined annually by October 31st by order of the Mayor. The estimated annual waste volume is approximately 50,000 tons, comprising approximately 40,000 tons of household waste and approximately 10,000 tons of bulky waste. As of June 15, 2026, 92,622 residents with permanent addresses are registered in Pernik Municipality, with 78,507 residents in Pernik city. The services cover the towns of Pernik, Batanovtsi, and the villages of Lyulin, Viskyar, Meshtitsa, Bogdan Dol, Zidartsi, Bosnek, Chuypetlovo, Vitanovtsi, Golemo Buchino, Divotino, Dragichevo, Kladnitsa, Rudartsi, Kralev Dol, Leskovets, Planinitsa, Rasnik, Raduy, Studena, Selishten Dol, Cherna Gora, Yardzhilovtsi; further details as per technical specification.
