Heating System Modification for HUS Lohja Hospital

Design and implementation of a new air-to-water heat pump system (VILP system) for HUS Lohja Hospital: Design-build (KVR) contractor for the planning and realization of the system with an approximate heating capacity of 1.5 MW, connection to the existing district heating network of the hospital area, and renewal of existing equipment in specified parts. The contract also includes a service period with an energy-saving guarantee and a maintenance contract, the content and duration of which will be defined during procurement. Separate construction works include the construction of a new technical room with HVAC, automation, and electrical works, earthworks, and the erection of a VILP enclosure and retaining wall. Project completion is targeted for the end of 2027 or beginning of 2028, followed by a five-year extended warranty period and an associated service period. The procurement procedure is a competitive negotiation procedure; bidder selection and preliminary tender request will occur at the end of September, negotiations at the end of September/beginning of October, the final tender request in October 2026, and contract signing at the end of November/beginning of December 2026.
