Applied Research: Berry Cultivation Potential on Peatlands
Applied research on the potential of cultivating various berry crops on exhausted and other peatlands under Estonian conditions: The study aims to identify the potential for growing various berry crops on peatlands in Estonia, define criteria and suitable areas for berry cultivation development, and assess the overall impact of berry cultivation, considering environmental and climate effects, food security, and long-term commitments. A total of 375,000 EUR including VAT is allocated for the applied research, with 372,000 EUR for conducting the research and 3,000 EUR for two public presentations of the results.
