Applied research to assess the effect of the feed additive 3-nitrooxypropanol (3-NOP) and selected feed materials (e.g., rapeseed cake, fatty acids) on reducing methane emissions from enteric fermentation in dairy cows under Estonian conditions: assessment of the impact on animal health and welfare, milk composition and production, and the potential for biogas/biomethane production from manure; budget of 356,000 euros, with 353,600 euros for conducting the research and 2,400 euros for two public presentations of the results.
