Drive system renewal for Acoustic Wind Tunnel Braunschweig
Renewal of ventilator, motor, and diffuser in the Acoustic Wind Tunnel Braunschweig: includes a design study with aerodynamic evaluation of the current state, comparison with DLR data, development of aerodynamic properties for the new drive system (flow homogeneity, mean flow velocity), creation of a detailed technical concept for implementation (mechanical, electrical, electronic components, dimensions, weights, electrical power consumption, installation and commissioning concept), and a proposal for a PC-based drive control system. Manufacturing of all components requires a documented stress analysis for critical parts (ventilator, blades, diffuser housing, support structures), direct execution by the contractor, notification to DLR for subcontractors used for customized components, and trial assembly for non-standard components with documentation (photos, videos, protocols). Installation and commissioning of components will be performed by the contractor's own personnel or subcontractors at DLR according to an agreed sequence; further items as per the tender documents.
