Medicine with the active substance Palivizumab
Supply of Palivizumab: a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody, produced using DNA technology in murine myeloma host cells. One 0.5 ml injection vial contains 50 mg Palivizumab. The medicine is indicated for the prevention of severe lower respiratory tract disease requiring hospitalization, caused by Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in children at high risk of RSV disease, specifically in children born at or before 35 weeks of gestation who are less than 6 months old at the start of the RSV season; children under 2 years of age who required treatment for bronchopulmonary dysplasia in the last 6 months; and children under 2 years of age with hemodynamically significant congenital heart disease.
