Processing and Reuse of Grit
Processing and reuse of winter service grit for the 2026/2027 season: Moraine gravel grit with a grain size of 2/5 mm, after collection by sweepers. The cleaned and processed material is to be marketed by the contractor for reuse as grit and sand in road construction, gardening and landscaping, or as an aggregate in the building materials industry. Road sweepings are classified as waste according to § 3 Abs. 1 of the German Circular Economy Act (KrWG) and are to be processed or properly disposed of. Estimated quantity: 9,000 tonnes of road sweepings with an increased grit content; Maximum quantity: 11,500 tonnes per contract year.
