Battery Storage System BESS K13 for Flensburg Power Plant Site
Installation and operation of a grid-connected stand-alone battery energy storage system (BESS) with an electrical connection capacity of 8 MW and a usable storage capacity of 16 MWh at the power plant site of Stadtwerke Flensburg GmbH. The system will be connected via a medium-voltage transformer to the 5 kV medium-voltage grid and is designed as a containerized or modular storage solution, including battery systems, inverter units, transformer technology, protection and control technology, and necessary auxiliary facilities. 3.5 MWh of the total capacity are permanently reserved as secured start-up energy for gas turbines; the remaining capacity is for participation in energy trading, specifically the marketing of flexibilities via short-term electricity markets and the provision of secondary control power (aFRR).
