ELA/SAA Control Units for Terminal 2 Renovation, Frankfurt Airport

Installation and renewal of Voice Alarm System (SAA) control units for Terminal 2 of Frankfurt Airport: Dismantling of 2 existing ELA control units and installation of 3 new SAA control units. The SAA comprises approx. 1 SAA control unit passenger area (incl. UPS), approx. 1 SAA control unit office tower building 149 (incl. UPS), approx. 1 SAA control unit office tower building 151 (incl. UPS), approx. 3 main distributors as terminal blocks (separated per SAA control unit), fiber optic networking of the control units as a ring bus, approx. 10 fire brigade intercoms, and connection of the SAA control units to fire brigade intercoms via fiber optics in the fire protection duct and JE-H(St)H E30 cabling. The installation of the control units will initially be without periphery. Programming work to support up to 6 third-party companies for periphery installation in subsequent years is part of the scope. The central call system of Frankfurt Airport is not part of the scope, but the SAA control unit must be controllable via it. The service includes delivery and operational assembly of the new ELA systems, including commissioning, operational readiness services, and standby maintenance before legal acceptance. Maintenance services for approx. 5 years may be required. Service commencement is Q3 2027, assembly/execution Q4 2027, service completion (incl. commissioning and acceptance) Q3 2029. This measure is part of the technical renovation of Terminal 2, which is expected to take place from early 2030 to late 2033 with temporary decommissioning for passenger operations, with individual partial services until 2034.
