Electrification of the Szombathely-Kőszeg Railway Line

Electrification of the Szombathely-Kőszeg railway line: Construction of an alternating current single-phase railway overhead line system on railway line no. 18 over approx. 17 track-km for a single-track branch line, designed for 25 kV, 50 Hz and an authorized speed of 80 km/h; reconstruction and modification of 15 railway level crossing barrier systems and (line) interlocking systems due to electrification, including necessary railway track modifications; necessary modification and expansion of GYSEV interlocking systems, traffic control systems (KÖFE, KÖFI), railway area lighting, and railway telecommunication facilities; establishment of the power supply for the railway overhead line system of line 18 by modifying the existing 25 kV – 50 Hz overhead line system at Szombathely station; preparation of plans required for integration into the GYSEV FET system (overhead line, lighting); installation of 1 x 100 kVA pole-mounted transformer at Kőszeg station; complete execution of modifications due to electrification in non-railway telecommunication and power networks at 16 locations; ensuring compliance of the works with interoperability technical specifications; planning for execution and for temporary facilities; preparation of as-built plans.
