Energy-efficient refurbishment of CHP plants for LVR Klinik Bedburg-Hau

Energy-efficient refurbishment of the energy and heating supply for LVR Klinik Bedburg-Hau: construction measures within and around the listed boiler house, including creation of a concrete floor slab on the north side for hot water storage tanks, construction of a steel platform with staircase for inspection and installation of two new transformers, creation of two new rooms with external access doors in the northern part of the building for transformers, optional construction of a steel platform on the western flat roof for four return coolers, demolition and renewal of the old exhaust chimney including foundation on the south side, demolition of the ramp system on the south side and replacement with a new steel platform with staircase, various shoring measures in the basement for the loads of the new CHP units, demolition of the old screed on the ground floor and replacement with new composite screed with coating, machine foundations for new CHP units, equipping the boiler house with a suspended ceiling in drywall construction for sound insulation, new wall and ceiling paint for the entire boiler house and ancillary rooms, construction of a new technical room made of masonry with a concrete ceiling in the rear/northern part of the building, new door breakthrough in the existing wall of the new technical room to access the existing technical room behind it, equipping both technical rooms with raised floors, conversion and renovation of the adjacent sanitary area, and creation of several large-format wall and door breakthroughs in the listed exterior walls, which are to be constructed 2 circumferentially in the lintel, reveal, and parapet area with material from the demolition work to preserve the external appearance of the facades and meet monument protection requirements.
