Survey of Amphibians and Invasive Predators between Oschersleben and Harbke

Survey of amphibian populations and invasive predators (raccoon, mink) at suitable water bodies: The study area covers approximately 235.82 km², corresponding to about 1.85 full topographic maps (MTB) with an average of 127.3 km²/MTB. A minimum of 3 surveys, each consisting of 4 field days with 8 mapping hours, are to be completed per MTB, totaling 12 full field days per MTB. A maximum of 2 MTBs (8 quadrants) per surveyor, and a maximum of two main surveyors per MTB. One topographic map quadrant must be surveyed by the same person during all 3 survey dates. The amphibian populations in water bodies are to be surveyed between mid-March/early April and mid-May 2027. Surveys during the main reproductive period of amphibian species must partially take place at dusk/night. The first survey in March can be conducted during the day and at dusk/night. The start of the surveys is based on the mating season of common frog and moor frog, after consultation with the client. There should be a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 21 days between survey dates per topographic map quadrant. Surveys must only be carried out under suitable weather conditions (at night at least 6 °C, no or little wind). The final report is due by October 29, 2028.
