Structural Engineering Planning for Renovation and Modernization of Berufsbildungszentrum Dormagen

Structural engineering planning for the renovation and modernization of the Berufsbildungszentrum Dormagen (BBZ DO): The building from the 1970s will undergo core renovation, stripped down to the concrete skeleton and load-bearing masonry. Facade, roofs, interiors, and schoolyard will be renovated. Planning must comply with demanding funding regulations, including detailed proof. Project goals include adherence to the cost framework, funding application and grant objectives, deadlines, sustainable building goals (BNB system), and achieving the highest energy efficiency class. The service includes all basic services of service phases 1 to 6 according to § 49 ff or Annex 14.1 of HOAI 2021 for all renovation and modernization measures, including facade and foundation elements, and structural constructions in outdoor facilities. Special services are required: in design planning, proofs of earthquake protection and buoyancy safety; in approval planning, proofs for structural fire protection (including thermal design if necessary) and static proofs for non-structural constructions (e.g., facades); in execution planning, construction and proofs for steel and timber connections, and shell construction drawings in reinforced concrete construction that do not require supplementation by object planner plans; in preparation and assistance with award, creation of a synopsis for the bill of quantities and assistance with cost estimates according to DIN 276; in object supervision, engineering control of structural execution, as-needed engineering control of temporary construction aids (e.g., scaffolding, excavation shoring), supervision of structural interventions into existing structure, and control of concrete production/processing on site, including evaluation of quality tests. Lump-sum services to be offered: identification of sustainability goals, special services of structural engineering planning, optional demolition statics, building physics (room acoustics), energy efficiency management, funding management.
