Research on Workforce Potential through Digitalization and AI

Research contract for identifying opportunities and needs of SMEs and employees with impairments for using technological support in operations, aiming to leverage workforce potential through digitalization and AI. Performance period: 2027–2028. The contract includes practice-oriented scientific research on supporting employees with impairments through new technologies (e.g., AI), securing employee experiential knowledge, and strengthening existing advisory structures for SMEs. At least the following work packages are required: basic research and needs analysis (empirical-exploratory study on needs of SMEs and employees with impairments, overview of technological/AI-based solutions, suitability assessment of AI technologies); implementation strategies and implementation (proposals for technology implementation and long-term use, creation of information materials, feedback/evaluation); review and adaptation (testing/refinement of information materials, effectiveness review of AI support tools); and dissemination to enhance project visibility. The contract is tendered as a competitive dialogue across Europe and can be performed by a consortium.
