Building automation for the conversion and extension of Steinhude Primary School into a full-day school: gradual integration of newly modernized building areas into the existing automation and control technology using the standard KNX protocol. Data points from adjacent trades (electrical, heating/ventilation/sanitary) are integrated via interfaces/gateways into the KNX system and transferred to the existing MBE. The functional scope includes room automation and control (acquisition/regulation of room parameters, control of heating valves, implementation of operating modes), operation- or weather-dependent flow temperature control, control/monitoring of window ventilation for night cooling, monitoring and regulation of ventilation systems (e.g., canteen/kitchen) with acquisition of operating states, fault messages, and measured values, as well as emergency shutdown in case of fire, and monitoring of electrical systems (relevant operating and fault signals, selected measured data). Operating modes include school hours, holiday operation, and night setback. Meters from the electrical trade are integrated via an M-Bus interface and provided in the MBE for display and evaluation of energy and consumption data.
