Chief and architectural design for the project planning phase of the Suviranta Museum project in Järvenpää (Suvirannankatu 5, 04400 Järvenpää): Determination of implementation conditions, measures and their scope, and starting points for further planning to develop the culturally and historically significant artist home of Eero and Saimi Järnefelt into a museum. This includes clarifying and coordinating functional needs of museum operations, repair and modification needs for buildings and outdoor areas, infrastructure for museum operations, feasibility of a permanent ticket sales building, traffic and parking arrangements, and planning and authority requirements. Consideration of results from condition surveys of the main building, appropriate scheduling of PTS repairs, and definition of the scope for later implementation planning. The design is based on existing documents such as a needs assessment, building history report, museum plan, museum garden plan, and preservation management plan. Emphasis is placed on preserving the cultural-historical values of the existing building, interiors, and environment, and coordinating museum solutions with protection goals. The task involves collaboration with the regional museum and other authorities, as well as guiding separately commissioned structural engineering, moisture, and indoor air condition surveys from the perspective of building historical values and protection goals. The service provider acts as chief and architectural designer and prepares plans, reports, alternative analyses, design data for cost estimation, and other materials for decision-making on the project's scope and implementation. The contract duration is from September 28, 2026, to February 28, 2027.
