Main contract for the expansion of the Hintta surface water treatment plant

Main contract for the expansion of the Hintta surface water treatment plant: Construction of a new surface water treatment plant as a complete service, including the water treatment plant building, an underground tunnel, and a lower water tank building. The gross floor area is approximately 12,000 m². The contract includes exceptionally demanding earthworks and foundation works, watertight basin and concrete structures, process and building services, piping, and the construction of a connecting tunnel. The new facility will be built next to the existing surface water treatment plant. Additional works may be required. A separate automation contract will be subordinated to this main contract. Works are planned to start mid-March 2027, operational readiness must be achieved by the end of 2029, and handover by June 30, 2030. Excellent Finnish language skills are required for personnel involved in the project.
