Infrastructure Planning for the New Central Clinic, 2nd Construction Phase
Infrastructure planning for the new Central Clinic, 2nd construction phase at the University Hospital Bonn: Replacement new building for the Surgical Center with ground floor, four upper floors, and one basement, including a central operating theatre with 16 operating rooms, intensive care with 48 beds, general care with 130 beds, outpatient areas, and CT and MRI diagnostics. The planned usable area is approximately 17,000 m², with a total budget (KG 100-700) of approximately 278 million EUR gross. The planning services include BIM collaboration, planning coordination, project communication, sustainability, and site supervision. Planning is carried out integratively within an interdisciplinary team using the BIM methodology, with the specialized planning for conveying systems fully integrated as a model-responsible discipline, considering the Employer's Information Requirements (AIA) and the BIM Execution Plan (BAP). Special conditions arise from the inner-city campus location, structural connection to existing buildings, ongoing clinic operations, and high demands on operational safety, redundancy, and availability. The project aims for a BNB certification of at least Silver. Commissioning is phased: initially LPH 1-2, followed by LPH 3-4 (including HU-Bau), LPH 5, LPH 6-7, and LPH 8; there is no legal entitlement to commission further service phases beyond LPH 1-2.
