Sewer Construction for Bus Depot North Conversion, 2nd Construction Phase
Earthworks for the conversion of Bus Depot North, 2nd construction phase: Creation of trench lines (shored and unshored, up to 5.00 m deep) and excavation pits (up to approx. 5.50 m below ground level, including for the rainwater treatment plant), including loosening, loading, and temporary storage of excavated material. Soil sampling according to EBV and subgrade and bearing capacity verifications are required. Backfilling is done in layers with suitable sand/gravel-sand 0/8 mm in the pipe zone and with permissible re-usable material or delivered replacement material in the main backfill; a temporary sub-base layer is to be installed. Shoring works include trench shoring and soldier pile shoring for deeper areas. Drainage sewer works involve the complete renewal and adaptation of the rainwater drainage system (including rainwater treatment plant) and the foul water sewer, including pipe laying, fittings, manholes, and connections. Connection lines to the planned road gullies are to be constructed up to the temporary sub-base layer or to the later connection point of the new road gullies. Pipe ends are to be measured, documented, and provisionally sealed. Temporary surface drainage must be ensured throughout the construction period; existing road gullies are to be kept in operation until the new drainage facilities are constructed, or provisionally connected/replaced if necessary (e.g., by provisional pipe connections, temporary channels, hose lines, or pumping measures). Pipe securing, control, and testing include optical inspections (camera inspection, moling of empty conduits), leak tests, and metrological surveying of the installed systems in open trenches. Demolition and dismantling works include surface demolitions (coverings, fastenings) and the removal of existing pipes and structures. Documentation includes photo documentation, hand-revised as-built plans, and complete trade-specific object documentation. Execution takes place under ongoing bus and workshop operations, in sections, in accordance with VOB and DIN standards (DIN 18300, DIN 4124, DIN EN 1610, DWA-A 139).
