Convection parts (boiler tubes) for Unit 1 of the Uppsala Waste Incineration Plant

Replacement of convection parts (pressure vessel parts) for Unit 1 of the AFA Waste Incineration Plant in Uppsala, Sweden: Exchange of convection parts in the horizontal pass (three evaporator bundles and one economizer) of Unit 1, to be carried out during the summer overhaul July/August 2027. Steam data is 15 bar(g) and 200°C. Optionally, the replacement of the membrane walls surrounding the horizontal passes is included. The contractor designs, manufactures, and installs the new tubes based on detailed drawings of the existing tube bundles and modern criteria for design, testing, and inspection. Also included is a new soot cleaning system for the convection parts, including removal and scrapping of the old rapping system and replacement with a more modern system. Continued operation is planned until 2040.
