Concept and Implementation of an Externsteine Experience World

Concept and implementation of an Externsteine experience world: Development of a concept including planning services and official approval procedures, as well as the complete implementation with construction services, IT services, support, and training. The award is structured as a staged contract, where Stage 1 (concept development) is awarded, and Stage 2 (implementation) and Stage 3 (licenses, support, training) are options that can be called off within five months after acceptance of Stage 1. All services must comply with nature conservation regulations for the Externsteine area. Historical documents and data are to be didactically and scenographically prepared and digitized. A mobile app (PWA/iOS/Android) is to be developed, encompassing natural, geological, and historical information, an area representation, a homepage link, active visitor functions, and a WhatsApp scavenger hunt. Software must be compatible with ChromeOS and Windows 11 or higher; hardware with ChromeOS (Windows 11 or higher desirable). The modernization of the Infozentrum includes the installation of revision openings, replacement of outdated hardware, use of existing screen openings, preservation of analog stations, and no structural changes to the basic structure. An indoor social wall with software, licenses, and a moderation dashboard is to be installed. A 3D-printed tactile relief of the Externsteine formation and the Deposition relief is to be produced and installed. Digital content is to be revised, modernized, and newly created (didactic), and cinema use is to be expanded. Digital content must be provided on physical data carriers (USB sticks, local PC) for offline use (excluding Social Wall, App). Barrier-free access to content, a visitor counter, and a funding notice sign are to be created. The total budget is 620,000 EUR (of which 372,000 EUR funded, distributed over 2026 and 2027), with a cost breakdown of 255,000 EUR for setup/scenography, 25,000 EUR for construction costs, and 340,000 EUR for technology costs. All services are to be rendered by the end of 2027. Contract bases are an EVB-IT Cloud contract and an EVB-IT System contract.
