Mitigation of Human-Wildlife Conflicts in Tanzania II

Technical, organizational, and advisory services for the mitigation of human-wildlife conflicts in Tanzania: support for project implementation in the Ruvuma landscape, strengthening of the national human-wildlife conflict management strategy at national, district, and village levels; contribution to improved governance, planning, and operational capacity; support for land-use planning processes, including the development of one district framework land-use plan and 15 village land-use plans, as well as corresponding Community Action Plans; organization and facilitation of technical consultations, community meetings, field visits, mapping exercises, and validation workshops; capacity development and institutional support for key public actors, particularly the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism; strengthening of intersectoral cooperation; documentation and analysis of activities and results; support for community-level resilience and conflict mitigation measures; strengthening of awareness-raising and environmental education activities, including revitalization of environmental clubs (Malihai Clubs) in schools and colleges, development of training materials and curricula, piloting of club activities; support for outreach programs; project management, coordination, reporting, and knowledge management; deliverables include reports of workshops and training sessions, minutes of technical meetings, approved planning documents, CAP and LUP documentation, progress reports, and technical contributions to project monitoring; further items as per the tender documents.
