Use of Large Heat Storage Systems for Stadtwerke Schwerin

Expert Opinion on the Use of Large Heat Storage Systems: Preparation of an expert opinion compliant with funding guidelines for the integration of a seasonal large heat storage system at the Schwerin site, as a component of the transformation plan for Stadtwerke Schwerin GmbH (SWS) within the feasibility study of the Federal Funding for Efficient Heating Networks Module 1. This includes processing existing analyses and elaborations, combining them with additional data sources, technical information, and experience, performing calculations, and integrating them into a coherent overall concept. For the developed variants, the required electrical connection capacities must be determined, site-specific grid connection options at the necessary voltage level must be examined, any required upgrade needs for the existing electrical supply structure and the cost of grid connection must be technically described and estimated. The cost of grid connection for large electrical consumers and the connection to the existing district heating network must be considered during site selection. Only earth basin storage systems are to be investigated.
