Technical Planning for Virginia Depot Energy Center
Planning of technical equipment according to § 55 HOAI (2021) for the new construction of the energy center (EZ) within the inner-city geothermal project "Virginia Depot" in Munich. The EZ functions as a heat station for generating district heating from renewable energies and is designed to produce up to 110 MWth. Supply is via an approximately 350 m long thermal water pipeline (TWT) from the drilling site of the underground facility (UTA) with 4 doublets (DN 350). The required district heating flow temperature is achieved using large heat pumps. The contract includes the integrated, cross-trade planning of the technical equipment, including coordination of all interfaces to UTA, TWT, site development, district heating network, structural engineering/framework/fire protection, and the 110-kV customer facility. TWT, UTA, and the 110-kV customer facility are not part of this tender. The scope of services includes process engineering (thermal water and district heating side), electrical engineering (building and plant specific), control technology, measurement, control, and regulation (MSR), and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitary (HVAC). Service phases 2-8 are commissioned across all plant groups of the technical equipment (AG 1-8). The preliminary eligible costs are approximately 81.8 million EUR.
