Design and Construction of the Dhenia - Akaki - Astromeritis Motorway
Design and construction of the Dhenia – Akaki – Astromeritis Motorway: approximately 18 km in length, 4 traffic lanes each 3.5 m wide with a central median and asphalted shoulders of 3.0 m width on both sides. The motorway connects the Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia motorway with the Astromeritis-Evrychou motorway and passes south of the villages of Akaki, Peristerona, and Astromeritis. Construction works include 4 new and the completion of one existing grade-separated interchange, earthworks, asphalt works, stormwater drainage including the construction of a closed road drainage system, modifications to existing and installation of new utilities, road lighting, viaducts, overpasses and underpasses, rectangular culverts, and retaining walls.
