Design and construction works for the restoration of retention reservoirs and the reconstruction of a culvert into a bridge
Design, permit acquisition, and construction works: Restoration of 5 retention reservoirs with a total area of approx. 3.0 ha (30,000 m²), average depth of 1.2 m, and a retention capacity of min. 28,000 m³. This includes earth embankments and hydrotechnical facilities, including 5 emergency overflows. The total length of the 5 embankments is approx. 270 m (5 sections) with a crown width of 2-3 m. Earthworks involve shaping the reservoir basin, profiling the bottom and internal/external slopes, constructing the earth embankments, and building the 5 overflows/weirs. Depths vary from 0.3–0.8 m (nearshore zone) to 0.5–1.0 m (middle zone) to approx. 2.0 m (deep zone). Embankments with a crown width of 3.0–4.0 m and a height of approx. 2.0 m. Volume of earthworks for embankments approx. 2,500 – 3,000 m³, excavation volume 2,500 – 3,000 m³, 100% of excavated material used on site. Reconstruction of a culvert on forest road no. 220/1139 into a bridge: Demolition of the existing reinforced concrete pipe culvert and headwalls, construction of a new bridge structure with a steel corrugated sheet span, reinforcement of headwalls with stone riprap, restoration of asphalt approaches on and before/after the structure over a total length of approx. 100 m. Bridge width allows for a roadway of min. 3.5 m and shoulders of 2 x 1.5 m. All design solutions require ongoing approval from the client; further items as per the tender documents.
