Planning Services for Traffic Facility and Engineering Structure/Structural Design A 59

Planning services for the 6-lane expansion of the A 59 in the section AD Sankt Augustin-West (A 560) to T+R Liburer Heide (A 559), construction km 18+069 to construction km 23+593, within the municipal areas of Troisdorf and Sankt Augustin: Investigation and evaluation of all technically and planning-wise feasible solutions for the structural and traffic situation, based on a traffic study with a forecast horizon of 2035. This includes service phases 1-4 for traffic facilities and service phases 1-3 for engineering structures/structural design. The planning aims to minimize safety risks and ensure performance and traffic safety through adjustments at interchanges, an efficient cross-section, proper median design, and adequate drainage. Specific challenges include conflicts with high-voltage power lines, gas pipelines, crossing traffic routes and rivers, and dense development. Variant evaluation considers traffic quality, traffic safety, construction process/technical feasibility, noise protection, costs/economic efficiency, urban integration, and environmental compatibility. A major complex issue is the Siegbrücke bridge, requiring an 8-lane new construction in an FFH area and complex temporary traffic management. Additionally, the planning of an entry lane between AD Sankt Augustin-West and AS Troisdorf in the direction of Cologne is included. Project execution will be model-based using the BIM method, with data delivery in OKSTRA format 2.022 or newer; further items as per the tender documents.
