Design, Supply and Construction of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS): Construction of a system with a power class of approx. 3 MW and approx. 6 MWh at the Hohe Straße location in 08289 Schneeberg for storing electrical energy and demand-oriented re-feeding into the medium-voltage grid, operated as grey power storage in the energy market. The modular system includes concept and detailed planning, execution planning, calculations, construction, scheduling/monitoring, assembly of all offered components, site setup, cable route development for cables to be laid, medium-voltage cabling including cable testing (from handover point/NVP), a handover substation with SF6-free medium-voltage switchgear, superior decoupling protection, lighting, sockets, medium-voltage measurement, EZA controller, transformer (outdoor installation possible) including low-voltage distribution and intermediate decoupling protection, Energy Management System (EMS), BESS including inverters (WR), fire suppression system, Battery Management System, heating, climate control, 400 V distribution, self-supply for battery storage and control, grounding, overvoltage protection, potential equalization, supply and setup of a master control system including PLC, I/O modules, communication modules, all required communication interfaces (e.g., Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, M-Bus, IEC 61850) and full integration into higher-level systems, supply and setup of all sub-controls with on-site control panels, integration of all system components (e.g., transformer, inverter, MV & LV systems, measurements, emergency stop, energy meters), IT security, power and signal cables, cabling of all auxiliary systems and their connection, system certification Type A, training, commissioning by manufacturer, trial operation, and documentation. Construction according to VDE-AR-N 4110 as well as DIN, EN, and VDE regulations.
