Project Management for Renovation and Extension of Building 3405 and Refurbishment of Building 3401, Max Planck Institute Hannover

Project management for two measures at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics Hannover: renovation and extension of Building 3405 (Measure 305) and refurbishment of Building 3401 (Measure 307). Measure 305 includes the conversion of the eastern part of the hall-like existing Building 3405 for physical laboratory areas (clean and grey rooms, laser and electronics labs) with approx. 1,240 m² NUF 1-6, including all structural and technical measures such as fire protection concept adaptation, structural adjustments in shell and finishing trades, dismantling of existing building services, and installation of new ventilation, cooling, electrical supply, and cleanroom installation. Additionally, office spaces with 684 m² NUF 1-6 are to be created as an extension or conversion of an existing building part, and earthworks for supply and disposal lines are required. Measure 307 concerns the refurbishment of Building 3401 due to significant fire protection deficiencies and defects in various components and building services; the building was constructed around 1968 as a reinforced concrete skeleton structure, renovated/converted between 2002-2005, and comprises three floors (basement, ground floor, upper floor) used for offices, common rooms, workshops, IT areas, and laboratories. The measures are to be carried out partially in parallel and managed in close coordination with the client, user, and planning team, further items as per the tender documents.
