Projekt 680: "Quantensichere (Verwaltungs-)PKI (PQ V-PKI)

Research and development project for the investigation and further development of AI-supported methods for side-channel analysis of cryptographic implementations: Focus on post-quantum cryptographic procedures and symmetric procedures (e.g., AES) on microcontroller and FPGA platforms. The contractor sets up a measurement/test environment, selects or generates datasets (current/EM, possibly multimodal), and investigates robust model architectures, trace compression, test-time tuning, as well as suitable evaluation metrics and workflows for reproducible evaluations. Optionally, approaches to auto-formalization of selected security proofs will be considered exemplarily. Deliverables include reports and presentations, executive summaries, a practice-oriented guide, datasets, source code, and an extended software toolbox including installation instructions, user manual, and a short quick-start tutorial.

Development and evaluation of practical test criteria for complex systems in the context of autonomous driving (ComplexMobilityAudit)

Development and validation of a practical test catalog and test guideline for evaluating the cybersecurity of complex autonomous vehicles of SAE J3016 Level 4. The focus is on novel properties of complex systems and technologies, including AI systems (perception, planning, sensor fusion) and end-to-end systems, as well as the interaction between non-AI and AI systems. The project delivers a test guideline and catalog, along with tools and methods for testing. An iterative approach, practical evaluation, and lessons learned ensure its use for type approval and the practical applicability of the test methods and concepts.
