Realization competition for the redesign of Schrangen with architectural component
Realization competition for the redesign of Schrangen square and the adjacent Königstraße, including the architectural design of an enclosure for the access ramp to a future public bicycle parking garage. The competition area covers a total area of approximately 2,600 sqm within the UNESCO World Heritage buffer zone "Lübecker Altstadt". The planning and implementation of the new square design will be financed by urban development grants, with estimated costs for open spaces (KGr 500) of approximately 1,340,000 Euro (net). Construction measures are planned to start from 2028, with completion in the eastern competition area by mid-2028 to ensure the opening of the educational center and the bicycle parking garage. The planning and implementation of the bicycle parking garage itself is not part of the competition.
