Technical assistance for an integrated waste management system in Grand Libreville, Gabon: Preparation of detailed design studies, tender documents, an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), and a public awareness strategy. The project aims to increase the recycling rate, reduce the amount of plastic and other waste discharged into the oceans, and limit the contamination of groundwater resources, by developing a more environmentally sustainable solid waste management system. This includes developing composting activities, increasing waste collection service coverage, and promoting selective collection.
