Consultancy services for identifying and prioritizing technically, environmentally, and economically feasible options for the reuse of drainage water in the Hillah River System and for preparing a concept for two pilot projects. The service comprises three work packages: Assessment of irrigation practices and drainage-water generation, including review of existing irrigation methods (surface, sprinkler, drip irrigation, fertilizer use), quantification of irrigation efficiency and drainage-water volumes/qualities, analysis of institutional management, scenario analysis for current and improved practices considering climate adaptation measures, visualization of results in maps and datasets for the Hillah River Information System. Analysis of financing criteria for BMZ and EU co-financing instruments to develop two distinct pilot project options: a small-scale project (up to EUR 1 million, up to feasibility level, BMZ criteria) and a larger-scale project (up to EUR 25 million, up to pre-feasibility level, EU criteria). For implementation, 4 core experts (1 team leader, 3 technical experts) totaling 330 expert days are required.
